Mentoring follows three key stages: Intention, Exploration and Direction.

1. Set your intentions

What you want

Most of us haven’t taken the time to get really clear on what we want in and from our lives.

We find ourselves leading our lives by default rather than by design.

2. Find your words

Who you want to be

Understanding who and how we want to be is core to being our true best self.

Knowing how we want to be helps us to notice when we’re being and not being this way. It’s the catalyst for change.

3. Find your way

How you get there

is about setting direction and taking action in alignment with who you are and who you want to become.

It’s how you bring your true best self to life, in the real world not just your head.

How the mentoring works in detail:

1: Intention

Prior to your half day mentoring session you’ll get some pre-reading and prep work to do.

Lead with Curiosity, The Intentions Framework, The Curiosity Map and The Curiosity Card Deck - getting started guide will help you fully consider what you really want, from the mentoring and in your life.

Everything builds from this pre-work. Be sure to give yourself sufficient reading / intention setting time.

A week before your half day we’ll have a 30 minute talk to explore your intentions.

2: Exploration

To kick off the half day mentoring we’ll explore your intentions using The Curiosity Map.

(in my experience things often change between the initial conversation and the 1/2 day session).

Next we use The Curiosity Card Deck to explore your current and future identity.

Getting really clear on how you are being now and how you want to be makes committing to what you are going to do much simpler, easier and effective.

3: Direction

At some point the conversation will become very practical. Together we’ll

  1. consider your priorities, confirming what’s really important,

  2. make lots of decisions about change ; and

  3. commit to what you’re going to do and the actions you’re going to take.

This approach builds the courage, conviction and clarity we all need to bring our true best selves to life.
