The goal of the mentoring is simple.
Build the clarity, confidence and conviction to
bring your true best self to life.
It’s all about you getting really clear on what you want, who you want to be and how to get there. Personally and professionally.

when you find your words you’ll find your way.

How the mentoring works
Before we get into the how it’s worth refocusing back on the goal of the mentoring.
It’s all about you getting really clear on what you want, who you want to be and how to get there, both personally and professionally.
Bringing our true best self to life requires us to accept that our personal and professional lives are inextricably intertwined. Neither operate in isolation, so the mentoring pays attention to both domains. Whilst the context is your whole life, what you want to explore and bring to life is 100% your choice.
What you want
most of us aren’t fully clear on what we really want in our lives. Often, this alone is our biggest barrier.
Clarity requires true honesty.
Who you want to be
understanding who we want to be, i.e. our identity, is core to being our true best selves.
Knowing ourselves helps us get out of our own way and grow.
How to get there
is about creating direction and taking action.
It’s the means through which you bring your true best self to life. Literally.
Knowing what you want, who you want to be and how to get there is how you
bring your true best self to life.
Where, what and how the mentoring works:
Where: Most of the mentoring I do these days is an in-person 1/2 day session in Perth, Western Australia. I can travel for these sessions if circumstances allow.
What: The mentoring follows the three key stages mapped out in The Curiosity Card Deck - Getting Started Guide intention, exploration and direction.
How it works in a practical sense:
Stage 1: Intention
Setting your intentions:
Prior to the 1/2 day you’ll receive some comprehensive pre-reading and prep work.
The Curiosity Map, The Curiosity Card Deck - getting started guide and The Intentions Framework help you to fully consider what you really want, from the mentoring and in life.
Everything builds from there. Give yourself sufficient time and space to set your intentions.
A week before your 1/2 day we’ll have a 30 min conversation to understand what emerged during the intentions stage.
Stage 2: Exploration
Finding your words:
To kick off the 1/2 day mentoring we’ll first re-review your intentions
(in my experience these often change between the initial conversation and the 1/2 day session).
Next we use The Curiosity Card Deck to explore your current and future identity.
- How you see yourself, how you are being now and how you want to be.
Getting really clear on how you want to be makes committing to what you are going to do much simpler, easier and more effective.
Stage 3: Direction
Finding your way:
At some point the conversation will become very practical. We’ll
consider your priorities, confirming what’s really important,
make lots of decisions about change ; and
commit to what you’re going to do and the actions you’re going to take.
This approach builds the clarity, confidence and conviction to bring your true best self to life.
The Intentions Framework
Whilst everybody in the world is different and unique, I’m confident to guarantee that
when you find your words you’ll find your way.
